Q01. My router was working ok, but suddenly failed, what should I check?

(840/810S)
Please check the “READY” LED of router if it is blinking. ”READY” LED is a System status indicator when blinking indicates system is alive. If “READY” LED is off or solidly on, please contact your distributor to re-flash firmware.

(815/845S/845G)
A ping test would determine if a connection is established between your ADSL Router and computer. Using the ping command, ping the IP address of the
ADSL Router, in this case, 192.168.1.1 (default). Alternatively, if the Ethernet
Link LED is solidly on, means the Ethernet link is established.

If the ADSL LED is solidly on, then the ADSL link is established.
If the PPP LED is solidly on, then the PPP session and Internet connection are established.
Q02. What to do if the Ready LED is steady?

(840/810S)
Please contact your distributor to re-flash firmware.

(815)
Ready LED is steady means that PPP session is established.
Q03. What to do if the Link LED is off?

a. Please check the Ethernet cable if it connects to computer’s network adapter.
b. Change a new Ethernet cable to verify the connection.
c. Check with your distributor to see if the ADSL router has a hardware problem.
Q04. What to do if the ADSL LED is blinking?

a. Please check if the ADSL line is connected to the WAN port of ADSL Router.
b. Check ISP if the ADSL line is unstable.
c. Check distributor if there is a firmware for upgrade.
Q05. What to do if I forgot the Username/Password?

Power on ADSL Router then press “reset “ button for more than 5 seconds, then ADSL router will restore to factory default. You can then login with default username and password.
Q06. Where can I get the newest firmware?

a. Visit the website of your distributor if there is any new firmware for upgrade.
b. Send a request by submit a ticket to our eSupport system.
Q07. The computer cannot access the configuration menu, what are the steps to follow to check it?

a. Check the IP address of your computer. It must be 192.168.1.X if the IP address of ADSL Router is 192.168.1.1.
b. A ping test would determine if a connection is established between your ADSL Router and computer. Using the ping command, ping the IP address of the ADSL Router, in this case, 192.168.1.1 (default).
Q08. What to do if I can't establish connection, and can't enter the web management page?

a. Check the IP address of your computer. It must be 192.168.1.X if the IP address of ADSL Router is 192.168.1.1.
b. A ping test would determine if a connection is established between your ADSL Router and computer. Using the ping command, ping the IP address of the ADSL router, in this case, 192.168.1.1. (Default).
c. Press “Reset “ button to restore the factory default settings of the Router.
d. Check if the following parameters configured in ADSL Router are correct: VPI, VCI, Encapsulation, PPP username, PPP password.
e. Check system log of ADSL Router if there is any error message.
f. Check if ADSL LED is solidly on. It will not establish Internet connection even if the ADSL configuration (VPI, VCI, encapsulation, PPP username, PPP password) is correct, when ADSL LED is blinking.
Q09. Why I can't save the new settings?

a. Forget to press “save all”.
b. Press “reset” button to restore factory default and try again.
c. Firmware issue. Please call distributor to re-flash firmware again.
Q10. I am having a very poor wireless signal, how can I improve it?

a. Please check if the wireless mini PCI card is loosed. Plug it in slot.
b. Please adjust the antenna and check antenna cable if it is loosed.
c. Please check if your wireless card installed on computer is damaged.
d. Please check if there is a lot of interference in your environment.
Q11. The router drops connection if there are more than 3 PCs connected to it.

Please check if virus infects your computer. Virus will affect ADSL Router and drops the connection. Notice that if many PCs are running P2P software such as eMule or Kazza, it might also cause the router to be unstable.
Q12. The 840V keeps showing "unregistered", even if I put the correct Username/Password.

Please check if Register Address, Proxy Address and Outbound Proxy Address are correct..

Q13. How to reset to factory setting?
