Q01. My router was working ok, but suddenly failed, what
should I check? |

Please check the “READY” LED of router if it is
blinking. ”READY” LED is a System status indicator
when blinking indicates system is alive. If “READY”
LED is off or solidly on, please contact your
distributor to re-flash firmware.

A ping test would determine if a connection is
established between your ADSL Router and computer.
Using the ping command, ping the IP address of the
ADSL Router, in this case, 192.168.1.1 (default).
Alternatively, if the Ethernet
Link LED is solidly on, means the Ethernet link is
established.
If the ADSL LED is solidly on, then the ADSL link is
established.
If the PPP LED is solidly on, then the PPP session
and Internet connection are established. |

a. Please check if the ADSL line is connected to the
WAN port of ADSL Router.
b. Check ISP if the ADSL line is unstable.
c. Check distributor if there is a firmware for
upgrade.

Q05. What to do if I forgot the Username/Password? |
Power on ADSL Router then press “reset “ button for
more than 5 seconds, then ADSL router will restore
to factory default. You can then login with default
username and password. |

a. Visit the website of your distributor if there is
any new firmware for upgrade.
b. Send a request by submit a ticket to our
eSupport system.

what are the steps to follow to check it? |
a. Check the IP address of your computer. It must
be 192.168.1.X if the IP address of ADSL Router is
192.168.1.1.
b. A ping test would determine if a connection is
established between your ADSL Router and computer.
Using the ping command, ping the IP address of the
ADSL Router, in this case, 192.168.1.1 (default).

Q08. What to do if I can't establish connection, and
can't enter the web management page? |
a. Check the IP address of your computer. It must be
192.168.1.X if the IP address of ADSL Router is
192.168.1.1.
b. A ping test would determine if a connection is
established between your ADSL Router and computer.
Using the ping command, ping the IP address of the
ADSL router, in this case, 192.168.1.1. (Default).
c. Press “Reset “ button to restore the factory
default settings of the Router.
d. Check if the following parameters configured in
ADSL Router are correct: VPI, VCI, Encapsulation,
PPP username, PPP password.
e. Check system log of ADSL Router if there is any
error message.
f. Check if ADSL LED is solidly on. It will not
establish Internet connection even if the ADSL
configuration (VPI, VCI, encapsulation, PPP
username, PPP password) is correct, when ADSL LED is
blinking. |

Q09. Why I can't save the new settings? |
a. Forget to press “save all”.
b. Press “reset” button to restore factory default
and try again.
c. Firmware issue. Please call distributor to
re-flash firmware again. |

Q10. I am having a very poor wireless signal, how can I
improve it? |
a. Please check if the wireless mini PCI card is
loosed. Plug it in slot.
b. Please adjust the antenna and check antenna cable
if it is loosed.
c. Please check if your wireless card installed on
computer is damaged.
d. Please check if there is a lot of interference in
your environment. |

Q11. The router drops connection if there are more than
3 PCs connected to it. |
Please check if virus infects your computer. Virus
will affect ADSL Router and drops the connection.
Notice that if many PCs are running P2P software
such as eMule or Kazza, it might also cause the
router to be unstable. |

Please check if
Register Address, Proxy Address and Outbound Proxy
Address are correct..

Press reset button for more than 5 seconds, then
ADSL router will reset to default factory setting. |

Q14. My 845G Ethernet is working ok, but wireless fails.
Why? |
a. Please check if the antenna is loosed.
b. Please check if the mini PCI card is loosed.
c. Please check if “WL ACK” LED is on. If this LED
is off, please check with your distributor to repair
it. It was caused by firmware crash, so the wireless
modules were not loaded successfully. |

Procedure to Enable WEP
1. Check Enable WEP Wireless Security.
2. Select Authentication Type.
3. Enter Encryption key and select Cipher.
(This field is enabled when the WEP security field
is checked. You can select from 64 bits, 128 bits,
and 256 bits. The WEP cipher is used when the
security configuration is set to WEP. This field is
not used when the security configuration is set to
802.1x and WPA.
Enter 10, 26, 58 hexadecimal digits for 64, 128 or
256 bit Encryption Keys respectively. E.g., AA AA AA
AA AA for a key length of 64 bits.
You will need to enter the same key for the first
time of configuration of each station.)
4. Save your settings.
5. Restart Access Point.
